I haven’t tested or even considered such calibers. Firstly, the maximum cartridge length in this project is 25mm, which is already a problem. Secondly, I have no idea how to estimate the required slide weight for such cartridges. Thirdly, if this pistol were chambered for such cartridges, someone would definitely try a full-fledged 9mm, which would probably end badly. 9mm will do, and perhaps even my next project will take shape. But for now, I suggest at least trying the .380, which is also quite good.

I think so. But the firing pin dimensions in the files are very approximate.

The first prototype survived over 20 shots without any sign of critical component failure. I can’t say how many shots were fired during the second test, but none of the participants reported any serious issues. As far as I understand, for most testers, including myself, this is highly illegal, so the testing was quite modest.

The initial tests were conducted with 9x22-based cartridges. I also hope to soon add a version using 6.35 bullets, developed by one of the test participants.

30x30x1.5 square tube as slide cover and 20x20 square as breechblock. Pins, screws, nuts, shaft collars. Springs, of course. And pipe for making the barrel, obviously.

If you’d like access to the current version of the project, email me. Sgt.Butters@proton.me Or you can wait a month or two until I’m ready to release the updated version for testing.

It’s turning out extremely interesting. My post on Lemmy was posted on Reddit, so that it could be posted on Lemmy. Recursion, as it were. Regarding testers. I’m happy to welcome everyone to my email, but if you don’t need the pistol files for personal use, please wait for the updated version. The changes will mostly be external, but I want to launch the new version for the full test.

I’m hoping to launch open beta in the spring. I can’t say anything more specific yet. I also replied to your email.

Email me if you want to join the testing.

I believe the minimum relevant group has been assembled. If you’d like to join, you’re welcome.

IMHO pa6cf is too much for prototype which probably have some undiscovered issue. Personally I will stay on PLA, until release version. But different bilds mean more interesting information.

I used setup of 50 litre can filled with 25kg of rubber mulch. 5mm steel plate behind can for safety. All stuff in 60x60x100 box filled with rockwool, at least 15-20 cm each side. Were quite.

Few more pictures.
That sounds very interesting and promising. But I have no experience with these cartridges. If their energy is as you describe, then why not? But I have no such plans. For now, I’m more interested in seeing this project through to release and then calmly moving on to the next one.
