It’s not just young men. There are men and women of all ages who wear too much perfume or cologne. I seem to be allergic to some of them, because I will often have my sinuses suddenly clog up, get a massive headache and swelling in my throat from smelling them.

On multiple occasions at work, it’s been so bad that I have to go ask a coworker to take over helping a customer because their perfume is giving me such a severe reaction. Then the perfume continues to linger for hours after they are gone.

I wouldn’t.

But I know people who only play COD and Madden. So if that’s all you are ever going to play, I guess it might make sense to spend all your gaming money on it?

It’s a picture of me dealing with ADHD customers who ask me a question, then never stop talking to allow me to answer it. Often a question is followed by 30 minutes of them telling me unrelated personal stories. Before eventually asking the original question again, but followed by another 5-10 questions in rapid succession without giving me a chance to respond.

This looks more like another instagram clone rather than Facebook. Building a following of strangers rather than a network of people you actually know.

I’ve yet to see a proper alternative (fediverse or not) to the way Facebook originally helped to keep connected to friends and family. To plan events. To keep your posts only visible to your friends. That’s the part that is hard to give up.

(Yes, I know friendica is supposed to be the fediverse answer to that. But it’s really not accomplished that yet. It’s just a skin over mastodon.)

I highly doubt that group was self censoring. It’s just inconsistent censorship by politico. “Rape” is not a commonly censored word, like the slurs are. I would have no expectation to see the word “rape” censored, it would be like censoring the word “murder.”

I’m working on learning French again. Went in 2019, planning another trip for 2027. Its not critical that I become fluent. I just like being able to attempt to speak French as I always had good interactions by at least trying. I was using duolingo back then. Currently, I’m using EWA which I like way better.

I also follow every French community on Lemmy that I see and try my best to read the posts and comments.
