For me, I like forests because they don’t have thousands of cars driving through them which makes them nice and quiet.

Are you sure you aren’t just drawn to big red dots?

I’ve heard this is common to humans. A clearing, with a forest and visible water is generally a “perfect” spot for people, and why there are so many paintings of such a place.

Yes but I think I have an idea as to why. I’m a mechanic by trade so my day is making sure everything is within spec or functioning properly. In the woods everything is chaos but it’s supposed to be; it’s novel. The solitude is a bonus.

I grew up near lakes and forests, so there’s nothing weird about it.

It’s nature calling. Forests are the way. Not roads and cities.

I moved to the country side and lived on a farm for a year or so. It was nice, but got very boring after a while. Now I prefer to live in the city and escaye to the wilderness on my bicycle

Yes! I’ve recently bought a house that has a forest on one side and the city on the other. It’s great! I take daily walks on the trails in the woods.

Not really. I feel a drive to live in a city in spite of not liking crowds. Really what I want is good public transport and internet connection… unfortunately my options for that appear to be live in a city or leave the continent.
