That was years ago.Dude from high school contacted me out of nowhere. “You seem like you’re good with people. I’ve got an opportunity for you!” Me: “I’m an engineer with autism, what do you think?”
He seemed truly surprised that I wouldn’t jump at the opportunity. And to top it off, he never could tell me exactly what he was trying to sell.
And if it’s such a good opportunity then why are you trying to push it onto me.
If he wasn’t telling you, it was Amway.

So glad I’m no longer on any social media platforms where these people hunt. I left Facebook (for unrelated reasons) shortly after I got an invite to someone’s Oriflame page. :D

They could also be a junkie. I had a friend from HS contact me and when I responded, she said “I have a drug problem and live in a motel and have no money. Could you give me some?” Like point blank, no subtlety at all. I felt bad but blocked her.
