The map is for a theme park in another country roughly based on where he is. The backpack is full of all the cool rocks he found.
He cannot feel the cold any more. He feels warm. He feels like now would be an ideal time for a nap.
I laughed, but could be written better. “except this guy” doesn’t really make much sense following “not all who wander are lost”. Not all ≠ no one.
