I have been approved for a home! I shall not after all be homeless.

It is in a new estate, so comes with the standard building noises during the day I have become used to, but should not have the regular demolition sounds. There is a dishwasher. There is heating. There is cooling. There is a walk in pantry and double glazing! Now I have to order a dog door insert for Mr Woof, organise the removalists, and figure out what goes where.

I guess this means I’m officially no longer a Melbournian, I am an official Ballaratian. Or is it a Ballaratbag?

On the unrelated: yep, recent DiDi trip I somehow ended up from Collingwood on the eastern freeway heading east, I live in the west. I was quite drunk but not enough to realise he was going away from the destination.

More good news on the rental front: the agent takes direct deposit rather than insisting on you using an app that stops you from automating the payments unless you pay extra fees.

I just helped out an excitable dog by the name of Sadie, who had gotten outside without authorisation and didn’t know how to get back in. Fortunately her people were home. I now smell slightly of wet dog and have a few paw prints on my jeans.

Tinyest can now say his name. I was surprised cause lets say his name was Tinyest, we often just call him Tiny. But he knows the full thing as well. He some times just says to himself “Mommy, Daddy and Tiny” which is so cute. Sometimes the pet names too.

He can also now say “Come Here” so poor mrs b is getting summoned a LOT. Daddy is mostly just used for playing cars which means forza horizon on the xbox doing jumps.

Erin Patterson’s trial begins today, I think it’ll be really interesting to hear how it turns out, what a wild story it’s been.

    The sads

I’m feeling overwhelmed by life and getting emotional about things that are either a no win situation and/or probably don’t matter.

I’m just so tired man. I’ve been struggling against so much for so long with no headway and anything good I try to do seems to be for nothing (or gets punished).

At least I can get this tooth removed this week. Due to cost I’ve decided to be awake during it so wish me luck.

      Hugs homey.

Sligth pep talk - I had my last few teeth pulled (one infected, one broken and an old wisdom) without general. Not all at once. These were 3 separate occasions.

Local shots were more than enough. Jaw was sore for a few days after, but that’s all.

You’re sorting things out one a time. You’ll get to where you need be eventually :)

My OH also had a broken tooth pulled recently under local and had the same experience. Had to eat modified food for a couple of weeks but is all good now

scary stuff out of Europe. In the event of a prolonged outage would be scary. Especially if I’m in the city when it occurs. Seems like my campers gas fridge might work but my solar cuts out when the grid goes down and no battery. To say nothing of water as well.

Sadly, the carrot thing is a myth. Deliberately spread by the British government during the war, no less, as an explanation for why they could track German bombers in the dark without letting on that they’d invented radar.

Carrots were one of the few foods it was easy to get lots of. Many fascinating recipes for carroty marmalade!

The government released a whole pile of food related PSAs at the time, telling people about substitutions they could make, thrifty ways to stretch rations further or clever recipes that used food they could get easily in place of using imports.

The “Ministry of Food” put in a ton of work. I’ve got a cookbook that recreates a lot of their material. It’s very carrot-heavy!

The only reasonable solution is to keep a cache of weapons and pick off the weakest neighbours in a time of crisis.

I suggest pensioners as they will have good stock of blankets and canned foods. Also, decent tools and such.

Work your way up the ladder of weakness and you’ll be fine.

We have a gas stove so I guess I could cook, and use candles for light, but no heating or fridge. Would need to eat boiled rice and ration what little canned items I have until power is restored. Rice with tuna and canned peaches?

mind if I have the canned peaches for desert rather than as the main?

water for your rice could also be an issue.

I received access to work’s marketing automation platform today. Wow, it looks so much nicer than Marketing Cloud. I almost feel like it can’t be as powerful because it’s so easy to use, but I know that’s not the case.

I’m looking forward to getting stuck into this program and learning it inside out. I feel like I’ll be able to do so much with it since it’s so easy to use. Just sending an email in Marketing Cloud felt like such a battle, so this should be a dream by comparison.
