Texans are being asked to conserve energy from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday as temperatures climb over 100 degrees for much of the state. Power grid operator ERCOT says the situation is not currently an emergency.

      And this is just the first week of ~100deg temps for most of Texas. It’s gonna be a long summer.

      See but this time it’s a heat emergency instead of a cold one, so you can’t use a fireplace if you lose power to keep you alive comfortable
