No surprises, performance slightly better than expected by a bottom of the line lens. Realistically, this lens only makes sense as a kit with the R50V.

This does indeed seem to be aimed at the internet video production market exclusively. No surprise, it’s the first result if you set the “vlogging” filter on Canon’s web site. I can’t imagine any other use case for powered zoom being the only option, especially given that the main lineup of camera bodies don’t even have the finger toggle for zoom manipulation to begin with, and if you’re going to grab the barrel anyway you might as well just use a normal lens.
