Nah, as much as I would welcome such a change I don’t think that is all too likely. Pretty much everyone in my family is similarly skinny, we all just have a thin build plus crazy fast metabolisms. I’ve been to a dietician and have been told that even without exercise I need to be consuming at least 4500 kcal per day before I can start gaining weight, and I simply cannot get myself to eat enough food to reach that calorie intake without feeling like shit all day long.

Peanut butter, granola, dried fruit, honey, sandwiches. Hell throw some chocolate syrup on them. One of those comes in at well over 900 kCal. When I was younger I could eat two of them and chop wood all day. Now in my 40s I only need one of those things to surf, or chop wood all day. I only need 3000 kCal daily though.

I’ve been told this my whole life (I’m almost 30) and have a very sedentary lifestyle. Still not able to put on the pounds :(

It was the 25 that did you in, metabolic changes. Same happened to me at 27, went from 125lbs@5’11" to 180lbs, now that I don’t do physical stuff anymore I’m down to 150ish

A no-name handmixer that will most likely outlast my parents (possibly myself, too). I break it out now and then for pancakes (thin and unleavened, topped exclusively with sugar and cinnamon).

From my dad, great physical health, some kind of neurodivergence, and a passion for systems.

From my mom, great empathy and self awareness, a skepticism of technology for technology’s sake, and appreciation for creative hobbies.
