Some of you know I write books. And I write spooky stories for kids. These stories are set in Tasmania. I have written 7 books in the series over the past 3 or so years.

Why is it only now I have thought up the story idea titled “How I got my Second Head?”

Staring at me this whole time.

I was part of the Medibank, Optus and Latitude cyber hacks, and just received a notification from Qantas that I’m involved in theirs. Protection of my personal information is just meaningless at this point.

Yeah, same for me with Qantas and Optus. Optus breach made me leave them and not pay my last bill because fuck them. Debt has since been sold to a collection agency and I just ignore their calls 😂 my debt is under $170 so they’ll write it off eventually, it’s been a few years now haha

But yeah, personal data not being personal anymore? I’m really fucking sick of it. Qantas can suck my metaphorical dick.

You’ve really had a did run at the opsec lottery. If anything I’m just as lucky to have been on the other side of some of these

Today was AWESOME, met so many familiar and wonderful faces at this event and really recharged, invigorated by the presentations and this glorious sun has really perked me up as well. Wrapped up early and probably not working tomorrow, but I’ll have at least earned some extra dough this week and have a bit more breathing space to catch up on life stuff. I might even look up what’s on this weekend. But for the next couple of hours, it’s journalling time before the psych

For sure! Although I would’ve liked to work a bit tomorrow and pile up the cash, I’m also grateful to have an actual weekday breather - last week I worked a full day on the day I submitted my assignment, and it’s been full days this week too. Tomorrow I can take my time to chill out at a park or head out somewhere nice without too many crowds. Start reconnecting to who the hell I am outside of work and study

    The bedside tables are assembled!

They may win the award for worst designed flat pack I’ve ever experienced. Multiple screws with a hex fitting recessed into the wood so you can’t get tools into them and can only turn a hex key less than a quarter turn before having to reposition. Plus a couple of instructions that were physically impossible. I had to make a few alterations to make it possible to get them together, but I think they are done solidly enough. The quality of the actual components is good and I like the overall design, but actually putting them together was definitely not something I’d want to repeat.

I’ve just put together the small bookshelf I bought for the lounge room, now I just need to summon the energy to do the bedside tables and I’ll be done with flatpacks. Tomorrow I’ll be taking the polystyrene to the recycling centre and finalising the stuff at my old house. Then I’ll be able to fully focus on the unpacking and sorting here.

Still far too many boxes to unpack, unfortunately. I’m hoping I have enough of the funiture assembled and positioned now that I can focus on the actual unpacking and sorting.

That was actually a really uplifting and lovely psych session?! Yay! ☺️ I might not even need to see her for a while even though I’m still undecided as to whether I should terminate my lease and dump all my stuff in storage, or just pay rent until I get back. Leaving my stuff here is much, much easier, but I don’t want to be in the same rut. A lot hinges on whether I can trust myself to courageously move towards change if I come back to the same place.

I can feel a decision bubbling up though. And other ways in which to address that yearning for a powerful driver of change
