Ended up having a little drunken slide show last night. So more Nepal from '99!

Pretty sure that’s everest taken from somewhere close to namche bazaar-ish.

Almost the highest we went (only 3800m from memory).

I remember all the fit kids really felt it at that altitude. I was a naughty kid smoking durries where I could w/o getting caught, I didn’t feel a thing lol. And I think that weirdly enough added to the experience for me. Sneaking off far away from the group, absolutely no one around just sitting there in the dirt staring at the views.

After 28 years of faithful service my toaster has finally decided to call it quits. RIP little fella.

Fortunately I have a toaster oven and was still able to cook my toast for breakfast

    fancy Saturday breakfast

It was a Ronson. And the heating elements still work, it’s just the clip that keeps the toast down that has stopped working. Much better longevity than it’s predecessor, which was a wedding present that lasted less than one year (which is why I remember the age of the replacement!).

I just got fucking worked over hey.

I’ve been doing stuff by myself for so long I haven’t been pushing as hard as I should have been.

He’s had shoulder injuries in the past as well so he knows how to strengthen that part of my body pretty well.

    Love this post workout high.

And now I’m going to do a lower body workout by sitting on the couch and playing video games lol

Today’s bad news: It started to rain as soon as I hung out my washing

Today’s good news: I got my toaster working again. Lots of crumb removal and playing around with the lever and it started staying down again. Google tells me it is probably a magnet problem, and it could have been interfered with by a build up of crumbs or it could be nearing the end of its life. We will just have to wait and see.

Made it to the gym for this morning’s class and it was… weird. It was a dance fitness class and I am very unco. But I had fun!

Didn’t do very well with the curries I made to take to a friend’s place - spice levels were all over the shop and I ran very late and spilled a whole lot in the bag (thankfully not onto the car carpets or seats). Past me would’ve been agonising over it all day but I’m glad I could get past it, hang out with friend, head to pub and socialise with other friends, and make it back in a good mood 😀

Bonus is I now have plenty of food for the next few days albeit not the best tasting but it’ll do…

Edit: my hands still smell of garlic. Whoops. Oh well

E2: glad that I managed to summon up enough energy to load the dishwasher and clean the kitchen countertops at least - don’t need to wake up to a warzone. Helped that I did all my friend’s dishes at her place because I know how hard she’s had it lately and that put me in a positive place

    Insomnia gang sup.

Trainer just sent me the new 3 day program. Looks interesting. Haven’t done a few of the exercises before.

I was expecting 5 days, so I’ll use the other 2 days for lower and core.

Pretty excited. When I’m in that world, I’m fully in. Great diet, consistent work outs, lots of water etc. I think it’s the old adhd super focus.

Yes I do, my clothes and the man’s. He puts his own away because he’s an adult. I hang up YL’s stuff otherwise it ends up as a nice comfy dog bed. 😡

I fold it as I take each garment off the line or it wouldn’t even get that. I hate ironing, so clothing is hung on the line in such a way as to avoid it. The folding it as I take it off the line keeps it tidy and “laundered” looking.

Thank you for the reminder, I was going to do some washing too but somehow got distracted enroute to the washing machine. I somehow ended up vacuuming the house and putting on a batch of yoghurt and completely forgot the washing!
