I like how they manage to claim that the opposition is simultaneously pro- and anti-establishment.
They can’t understand the concept of having nuanced views so they latch onto the last thing they saw. Someone saying to trust the scientists and researchers at the CDC during a pandemic is evil and pro-establishment in all ways but also someone, ten minutes later, pointing out that the government has done, and is doing, many bad things means they’re “anti-American”.
It’s not to crazy once you realize that holding two conflicting ideas in your mind has the prequisite of being able to hold any two ideas in your mind at the same time.
Reading this conversation is like watching very dimwitted children slowly realizing the obvious. It’s just painful…
I promise, there are people who are even more dimwitted and still wont budge from MAGA in even the face of this. And the ones breaking from MAGA aren’t realizing the obvious, Epstein is interwoven into q-anon and various rightwing cult beliefs. They’re just choosing one mythology over another. Even if the mythology surrounding Epstein is closer to reality than MAGA is, they aren’t choosing it for that reason. Its all feels over reals.
You can’t convince someone to do something. You have to make them think it’s their idea.
Once there are cracks in their believe system, it will open up in time. :3

I don’t remember the Left saying we should trust the government. I’m certainly not saying that and I identify as a Leftist. Not a Dem. A Leftist.
