iOS is adding the menu transparency that desktops have had for over 15 years. Android is adding AI. They are both just adding things that people already use and are calling them new.
Apple be like: People want longer lasting batteries?? Naah, let’s give them blurry UIs instead.
I just got Android 16 via OTA update yesterday. Nothing changed.
Pixel 6a users got a big change to their battery life, on the other hand.
… But gone are the days where the back of the phone pops off using only your thumb and you can just swap batteries.
I think the UI change is planed to happen in QPR1

I’m not excited about ios 26 though.
So did I. I actually used a glass UI on XP while waiting for Vista.
