Suspect allegedly claimed to be adviser or ambassador to made-up places such as ‘Seborga’ or ‘Westarctica’
This was obviously a bad thing he did because he was taking people’s money on the premise that they would be able to get work in a foreign country, but at a certain level you have to be impressed by the sheer audacity of the scam!
I propose we make him a minister of foreign things in my micronation
He will go down in history next to the man who tried to sell the Eiffel Tower.
Like those are very fake sounding names, I am continually surprised by how easily tricked some people are.
I always say most people are fucking morons, and unfortunately, it’s the truth. Obviously, in some cases, potentially like this, it’s not somebody’s fault, maybe from lack of education, but the reality is still true. People are fucking not smart.
Fake embassies of places like “Westarctica” or “Seborga” - far out! Law enforcement, of course, can’t take a joke no matter where in the world.
