And the driver of the SUV? No charges, suing parents for emotional damages of having to see their dead child after hitting them with their death machine.

“luckily my bull bars prevented dents to my bumper. Just had to hose off the blood. I’ll buy a bigger truck next time to reduce the emotional impact” -the elderly driver, probably

North Carolina is the worst state in the union and it isn’t even close. Nothing is worse than a population of people who have every opportunity in the world and still willingly, knowingly, consistently squander it all on self-absorbed idiocy.

At least Mississippi and Alabama have the excuse of low economic opportunity to fall back on. NC has gorgeous nature, a great public university system, is located along the Atlantic corridor, and yet they still insist on being politically regressive and culturally hostile at every possibility. I don’t say this in ignorance, I’ve regretfully spent plenty of time there. Don’t ask me what part I stay in to tell me your part isn’t as bad, because the part you live in sucks too. The whole state is vile.

Scroll down. There’s a case where a guy didn’t secure a gun that they were easier on. Hmm makes sense I guess. Scroll down further and see the father is black. Well that explains it all. But I feel if he wasn’t the gun guy would still get the easier sentence.

There’s a lot to be said about this messed up situation. I would not trust a 7 year old to make that trip in a car dependant area.

Edit: he was escorted by a 10 year old. That might be fine, possibly. At least open for debate.

Maybe the police could charge the 10 year old as well… /S

This is something we increasingly see from southern states. I guarantee that the people doing the policing and prosecution had free reign when they were children. Really this is just a lack of empathy for a bad situation and attempting to criminalize life.
