Between that dumpster and light pole means I’m not in the path of a car, nor am I taking a place they would want. Also not blocking a walking path or door, so I should be left alone. The pic is dark but the area is also reasonably lit.

      Thought about it, but there kinda isnt better a place. I am rather out of the way and not taking a spot a car could take. Its happen to me that someone will pull in to a parking spot they think is empty and tip over my bike.

    Yep, that’s the formula. I imagine that I was the most oblivious, most irritable random person and park defensively according to that perspective.
