    There were warnings signs decades ago. Elizabot was a simple chat bot made in the 60s. In the early 90s, versions of it sometimes came with PCs as a “virtual psychologist” (in retrospect, that was irresponsible marketing). As simple as it was, there were people who believed Elizabot had deep knowledge of their inner consciousness.

    Whatever you say about the current models, they are a lot more sophisticated than Elizabot. I’m not surprised this is happening.
