So I’ve read all 4 issues. I have MANY questions as a casual comic book reader.

First question…WHAT THE FUCK???

No, seriously. Have you read these issues? Seriously! What the fuck???

Ok, so first off…I guess Peter Parker always at some point had parents. He had to be born to someone. But this series is portraying Peter as having been close to them before. WHAT??? The story is always they died when he was too young to remember them. He’s always searching for some clues to figuring out who they were. And I don’t mean their identity. I mean finding out who they were as people. Multiple iterations of Spiderman I’ve seen Peter look through newspaper articles, records, ect ect ect just to learn about them. But here, Peters just like “Yeah, my parents were close. Until they died.”

Oh. And did I mention his parents were SECRET AGENT SPIES??? I refer you back to my original question. WHAT THE FUUUUCK???

On top of all that, Spiderman is now just in the black spider suit. And he just accepts it. He should be freaking the fuck out. He knows how dangerous this thing is. Nope! He just accepts it.

Oh, and as he’s getting stabbed and beaten, he gets saved by…HIS SUPER HERO SISTER???

WHEN THE FUCK HAS PETER PARKER EEEEEEEVER HAD A SISTER???

I REFER YOU BACK TO MY OPENING QUESTION!!!

WHAT

THE

FUCK???

In the OG books it was always Aunt May and Uncle Ben and the fact of Peter’s parents was never really mentioned.

So this gap left room for other creators to explore, multiple times over the years. Who were they? Did they die? Did they leave Peter intentionally or was he orphaned? Are May and Ben even his real aunt and uncle?

Pete’s red and blue suit got trashed through the events of #2 and he wakes up in the black suit in the Savage Land in #3 after Logan stabbed him through the gut.

Teresa Parker, the super-secret, adopted out sister, was introduced in 2014:

Yeah totally. Worse, Peter was a teen in the 60s, how the fuck is he even still in the super hero business? And he didn’t have a mobile phone back then either!

Forgive the snark. I haven’t read any of that series but it seems like you’re angry at changing backstories? In a comic book? What am I not understanding here? … is this a bit?

(The Parkers being shield agents isn’t new at all, btw. Wouldn’t be surprised if the other elements have been done before)

So I collector comics in the 80’s and stopped at some point in the 90’s. Looked through one after the millenium and was like wtf. Writers change over time and the comics with them.
