    All right. I’ll bite. It’s an apples and oranges argument.

    The police and military in the US is significantly more advanced and prepared for crowd control and quelling of protests than in Nepal. Those in charge – politicians and public figures – have security details that are unrivaled globally. We also have a President that is hoping for something – anything – resembling the protests in Nepal to take place in the US so that he can justify expanding his power and unprecedented executive branch actions. He’s actively stoking flames and attempting to cause tension domestically by deploying the National Guard to enact this plan.

    It’s not as simple as: “Haha Americans are dumb and too comfortable with their quality of life to do anything about their corrupt government.”

    As a matter of fact, fuck you for thinking that it is. I invite you to come up with a common sense solution to overcome the current administration’s attempts to destroy democracy in the US as we know it. I’ll wait with bated breath.
