PS: Don’t worry, today (9/17/2025) is the day that the house committee deliberates on Macro Rubio’s ability to use the people’s freedom of speech as evidence of terrorist organisation aid.

H.R. 5300, SEC. 226. NO PASSPORTS FOR TERRORISTS AND TRAFFICKERS

So it’s just a matter of time before all the Antifas are sent to concentration camps.

PPS: Sorry everyone, looks like this post got too many upvotes and influenced American politics.

Some people are openly fascist, yes. Thanks to the stupid fucking Jubbilee VS videos, I now know the depths of human stupidity are more boundless than I imagined.

However, I think this person just can’t connect the dots that being anti-anti-fascism is just being pro-fascism. They don’t actually think about the words they use, their meaning or their context. They just know that “antifa” is a left wing group, and left-wing, of course, bad, obviously. And since “antifa” stands for “anti-fascism”, anyone that are “anti-fascists”, including historical figures who lived and fought fascism well before the Antifa group existed, are the same as this modern group, and therefore left-wing, which, again, bad. They don’t then take the next step in logic to, “if the anti-fascists were bad for opposing fascism, then fascism must be good. Praise Mussolini.” Again, some do get there, but most are just thoughtless dum-dums.

It reminds me of when you ask people “If you are driving 80 miles PER HOUR, how long will it take for you to drive 80 miles?” And then they start guessing random shit or trying to logic it out or do math instead of just understand what the hell is being said. Weird mental gymnastics ensue that just demonstrate their complete lack of understanding.

Yes, but they don’t call it that. Nazis and fascism are “bad,” regardless of how perfectly they embody their ideology.

They pretty much reinvented it from conservatism. It’s like carcinization, crustaceans evolving into crabs, but various right-wing flavors evolving into fascism.

It’s so fucking infuriating… The very same “facts over feelings” group will deny the veracity of any fact provided unless it comes directly from their propagandist of choice…

People seem to have forgotten that the core conceit of George Orwell’s 1984 isn’t the surveillance state or the constant war or the two minutes hate and all the rest. It’s the idea that by perverting what people even understand as truth you can get them to do anything.

Anti-fascists are Fascists, criticising someone who spouted hate speech is hate speech, anti-racism is racist.

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

This really feels like a polite way of trying to both sides that people who are bigoted assholes are exactly the same as people who dislike bigoted assholes.

I disagree, i don’t think the person above is saying both sides are the same in terms of policy. But that both sides are being looked at as smart, impactful leaders that know how to play the game of politics.

Moderate liberals have elected people that they consider to be smart moderate liberals and they trust them to do the right thing. But a moderate liberal solution to actual fascists taking over the government is not an appropriate response. Just ask the social Democrats of the Weimar Republic.

tbf you can’t put too much trust in a name either. the nazis weren’t exactly socialist, despite calling themselves “national socialists”.
i think the problem arises because people think that antifa is a single entity (hence e.g. antifa member) like the nazis, rather than antifa being closer to a political descriptor like “leftist” or “anti-capitalist”

There is a great song by the German punk band „Team Scheiße“, „FA“, with the refrain „Bist du anti Antifa, bist du Fa“ which translates to „If you’re anti Antifa, you’re fa[shist]. A bit simplistic but true.

I joke so I can make people feel an emotional connection to what is actually happening around them as they acknowledge the cognitive dissonance and reality.

Um…I mean…terrorists identified by Marco Rubio don’t deserve passports

There’s a thread on /r/ conservative right now. It’s fucking amazing. They are out of their goddamn Minds. They’re all celebrating that finally Donald Trump is brave enough to Outlaw this obvious terrorist organization that’s responsible for billions of dollars in property damage. That’s right billions of dollars. They think antifa is caused billions of dollars of property damage. They’re out of their goddamn Minds.

Keep in mind I can run an LLM that can churn out the low effort comments that sub is known for on 2 year old gaming hardware.

We are going to own the libs and Antifa by making them our slave labor source.

I know. But they don’t want to get rid of the filibuster. The Republicans in the Senate are much less in sync with Trump than House Republicans. Since they’re too chickenshit to really stand up to him, the filibuster allows the Democrats to do the work of denying cloture, and Republicans get to avoid the threats that come with openly defying him.

The VP can override the parliamentarian, but the Senate can override the VP’s override. And it’s worth pointing out that the Senate is very protective of its norms and traditions against outside influence, even now.

It means that they can now have posts like this: https://old.reddit.com/r/Conservative/comments/1nk8xm0/antifa_is_recognized_as_a_terrorist_group_in_the/

If your comment is called out as antifa, doesn’t matter if you have anything to do with supporting anti-fascists or not, it will add to a report count, one that can be made to be a very big number and has a pseudo legal premise Trump federal agencies WILL go after and which MAGA’s Supreme Court WILL back up. It is a Gleichschaltung moment.
