This is Callie. She is not well. I’m scared.

I had to take my pupper to the emergency vet not long ago becaue he got into something and was puking constantly. It was expensive but ultimately they didn’t find anything and he is fine. Here’s hoping you have similar news.

I really hope she doesn’t need surgery. My partner’s dog had a corn cob stuck in his gut and it was like $4,500 to fix. I don’t have that kind of money, and I can’t even finance that. I’m scared I’m going to have to have her put down tonight.

Having raised and fostered a ton of dogs, a lot of the time they just really, really love to scare us. Oftentimes they will vomit because they’ve vomited so much they’ve made themselves overly sensitive. Definitely good to be at the vet, but I hope that can give you a little calm while you wait… Though I know it won’t. Poor little pupper. Give us an update if you can, I’m praying for her

Sometimes the lining of their stomach is too irritated to stop throwing up. Strong anti nausea meds, a look around via Xray or otherwise to make sure there isn’t anything that needs to be surgically removed, and tons of intravenous fluids can fix them right up. Scary and costly, but Callie will likely be ok. Sending good vibes to yall!
