Amazon Prime shuts down Australian adaptation of The Office

The Australian arm of Amazon-owned streamer Prime Video has confirmed that its local version of BBC scripted comedy format The Office will not be renewed for a second season.

    The eight-part Amazon Australia original series premiered worldwide, with the exception of the US, on October 18 last year and garnered the mantle of most successful Australian Prime Video Original locally with the biggest opening weekend viewership for any Australian title on the platform.

    Not successful enough, apparently.
