employment continues to be a shitshow, we’re seeing this meme once again.

Obligatory stylin’ for my '18 sabbatical, best year of my life.

“I’ve only included relevant experience on the copy of my resume that you received” Couch experience isn’t relevant. Hiking experience isn’t relevant. Experience as the forgotten pawn of the machinations of capitalism isn’t relevant.

Alternatively: “I’m not required to disclose medical information, and won’t be discussing the matter any further.”

Or fuck 'em: “Yes, but I will not.”

Can always say you worked for party city or similar. Or x-twitter for that matter, seems like they pretty much don’t have a functioning HR department, so who’s going to stop you claiming you did whatever there

      Don’t lie on your resume.

As others have said, there’s better answers than lying. From telling them that you only included relevant experinece, took a sabbatical to work on some passion projects, inform them that you do not have disclose medical information, to saying fuck-off.

The worst thing you can do is jeopardize a potential offer or your future employment standing by a flat out lie that’s verifiable by a standard background check.

Lying on your resume is literally the game in a job market that wants five years experience in tools that have only existed for six months.
