It’s not broken, it’s actually entirely consistent. No conservatives actually ever have any consistent beliefs other than “what will benefit me in this moment.” She sees support for Trump faltering and she is banking on being “one of the good ones.”

She voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill. She supported all of this every step of the way and now she only speaks her mind because she knows it is safe to do so because she is completely impotent in the face of a shut down government. It’s safe for her to be the rotating villain for the conservatives because she doesn’t have to follow through on any of these viewpoints, she just has to voice them. Once it becomes something she has to follow through on, she will go back to being her old horrible self. She will fall in line like they all do.
