    “You tell us what your salary expectations are.” really just means “low-ball yourself because you’re scared and we know damn well it’s hard to communicate with other candidates.

    Tell me what you’re willing to pay and we can go from there. Tell your employees what that position pays, and have that be available. There is ZERO reason not to unless you’re actively trying to hide something from the people you’re exploiting.

    And a message to anyone who thinks it’s ok and isn’t even benefitting from it: Shove a hot poker up your ass, idiot.

      If you don’t expect promotion or even retention, yeah, quiet quitting naturally follows.

      Spend your energy finding your next position in a competing company.

    The only way to be comfortable in this system is to disadvantage others, step on others’ backs. The most ethical way to earn comfort in a greedy capitalist society is to earn, borrow and steal as much money as you can. The moral code of a thief stands: Steal only from the rich.

    if you ask for a raise and they say no, then keep working or find a better paying job. making a meme about it doesn’t change anything.
