Never noticed one’s a temperature gauge. It falls pretty quickly when the patient dies.

OMG this is me. I have an huge extended family, who seem to think crowding app into a single house, where there’s not enough room to sit, is a good idea. I remember complaining about it as a kid.

Parents were hosting 70ish people in too small a space. Nothing catered. There was enough food and I did my part, but damn, a bit overwhelming.

My mom is one of 7, so we also often had around 70 people on Thanksgiving with all the cousins, their spouses and kids included. It was hell.

My parents had the grandpa and 2 from extended family over last night for homemade lasagna. I already sit mostly in silence if it’s just me and my folks because my mom never shuts up…but with those extra people…I’d be bored out of my skull

My wife’s family still lets her Grandma host even though Grandma has the smallest house of anyone in the family. Hell, I’ve offered to let them have family gatherings at our house just so we’re not all trying to eat Christmas dinner with standing room only but nooooo. “GrAnDmA wAnTs To Do iT aT HeR HoUsE.”

I refuse to go to a sports bar during college football games or regional NFL games. I don’t want to hear drunk a-holes Cheering like they just won the national championship every time they get a first down
