      Also “terrible French cars” is a bit repetitive. They’re not the worst cars out there, but hoo-boy are they bad. I’d take a VW over any French car, and you can’t give me a VW.

      I do enjoy seeing what the French come up with, and appreciate the CV2 like the original VW - both products of their era just trying to make something that works for people.

      For tight city driving like Paris or London, I’d want a tiny car but made very reliable like Toyota and Honda can deliver. Above all else I want such a car to “just work”, every time. I’m happy to give up fancy features for that kind of reliability (see Honda).

        To be honest I’d want to see a real reliability study as my experience with french cars is pretty good.

        My wife’s Peugeot 208, while being ergonomically challenged, hasn’t missed a beat in around 10 years.
