Guys I think Yoru might be evil

Love to see his big genius brain come through!

So how do we think he’s achieved this new form? Im guessing it has something to do with Asa’s presence in the dreamspace and the friendship/love/hope she represents to him. He now has someone that he can truly interact with as an equal who he actually likes; while also finding himself through other people (as is often the way), and can now better integrate his lived self with his subconscious strengths and drives (or, more literally in the text, Pochita’s idealized strength).

I think the powers of friendship and knowledge-of-self have helped him to rehabilitate his worldview and self-image enough that he can see himself as an actual hero now (the good and strong person he has always wanted to be), rather than a guy cosplaying as one who happens to have a super powered friend he can rely on to back him up. His new super power is that he is growing as a person

I love Denji here! Besides being smart, but his joy is shinning through! Black Pochita’s body being destroyed and Denji being inside it is cute but also symbolic visual of his new found self realization (well, on-screen). His new transformation just adds on to it. Denji’s normal Chainsaw form on top of Pochita, a perfect combo of the two. Yoru apologizing to a random devil is very funny but accurate to her new found “power of friendship”. I loved this chapter!
