I didn’t play it, but I recognize the artwork immediately. Am I good or am I included?
Kid in 97 = basically dead
Er… Alright.
I guess I’m just sentient dust
Correct
I played it as an adult. I bought a 3dfx graphics accelerator so i could pay it on the PC. It cost about as much as a PS1 would have cost and was hopelessly outdated a year later. And now get off my lawn, damn kids!
I got a voodoo for star wars episode 1 racer, now that was pod racing!

Could always use bleem! with it, though.
Jesus I was 27 in ‘97…. What does that make me, undead?
Greetings, fellow geezer!
You old fart…
I was only 25.
Have you checked your pulse lately?
You are a ghost messaging us from your universe of the already dead

In retrospect, the transition to “3D graphics” was so very awkward.
I liked it. I’m a big theatre kid too, so the pantomime “acting” was just stylized performance to me.
Eh, 8 was better.
(Though 9 is best).
Eh, I never really liked 8, the scaling monsters, constant spell drawing, and teenage drama storyline all put me off of the game. IMO it’s the worst of the PS1 Final Fantasy’s.
The third playthrough of 7 made the fourth playthrough of 9 look like the first playthrough of 6.

That very moment.
I did not need to be called out like this, how DARE
Being a huge fan of FF2 & FF3 (still my favorite), FF7 was the reason we got a PlayStation.
I played it in college.
dust
Never had a console as a kid (family didn’t believe in them) instead had a tricked out IBM 486. Played a lot of Wing Commander, Rebel Assault, King’s Quest 6 amongst others.

No but I played 8 in 99. Also played this fun 2800 adventure called montezuma’s revenge. Think pitfall meets adventure
My sister had a PS so I bought FF7 to play at her house and then after she said I had to go I needed to demand my mom buy me a PS for Christmas. My sister is 9 years older, that’s why she had her own place and why I asked my mom for one. Not that I was an adult asking mom.
Back in my day, King’s Field 3 was called King’s Field 2. And Mark from Revelations: Persona was black!
