I’m waiting for the second part to drop before I start watching.
I hate not getting a full season in one go. Weekly episodes are even worse. It just doesn’t make any sense for streaming services because the whole season is already filmed.

I stopped watching beginning of season 3, I think. Is it any good still or did it go Walking Dead on us?
S02 was the weakest, and even though it’s gotten better since, nothing can top the magic of S01.
I’ve watched everything up to S05E02, and it’s enjoyable.
Yes, the actors clearly aged out of the roles, but that’s just a reality of TV, especially with these long production times.
That said, it’s not even close to TWD levels of shit went too long, but if you’re exclusively chasing the dragon for S01 feels, no, it’s not there, but still, worth the watch IMO.
Couldn’t find another black guy besides Morgan Freeman? They don’t look anything alike except for the fact they’re both black. (I’m saying this to whoever originally made this)

I mean I hear you but the outfits are very similar, that’s probably the reason for selecting these photos, looks like the others are also mostly outfit based.
It is hilariously bad, like, beyond parody. All the kids look 30 and haggard, all the dialogue is just soulless exposition, random people are getting murked with these big emotional cues like we’re supposed to care about this bit part character, its full of product placement so brazen and intrusive that it looks like satire, 11 is doing superhero training montages, there is a straight up hentai tentacle rape scene. It’s like an SNL skit of Stranger Things, it is truly, deeply bizarre and awful on every level.
Get really stoned and watch it as if it is a parody comedy and it kind of works though.

The dialogue is fucking awesome and adults playing high school kids is completely the norm for movies and TV shows.
It is a show about an alternate dimension and people with telekinesis super powers but your are getting tripped up in the realism of the age of the cast….

C’mon man, it’s not a matter of the actors being slightly older than their characters, their appearance is laughably incongruous with the setting. I’m fine with some suspension of disbelief but its incredibly jarring in every scene. It wasn’t an issue I had with the show until this season. Like, they somehow seem to look older than they actually are irl, MBB looks fucking 30 in the show.

I dunno how to respond to this, the whole thing could have been written by AI it is so basic and by the numbers. Half the scenes are just exposition where they might as well be talking at the camera.

I agree with you, it’s more campy and an homage to the 80s, not a parody. I will agree that they should have probably ended it in 2019 or aged the kids with their actual age, but that would go against the goonies vibe of kids on an adventure. Compared to the 5th season of the Walking Dead, this season is much better.
Dude, it is ridiculous! The old-ass actors playing children alone is enough to completely explode any possibility of taking it seriously. Them riding around on the bikes that are now way too small for them is hilarious. I’m amazed anyone is even remotely invested in it.

I fell off somewhere towards the end of the first season when it became clear it wasn’t what I’d assumed it was (a horror show with some drama).
I legitimately cannot believe it’s still going. I feel like it’s been going for my entire adult life. I assumed it had ended years ago with the guy who died! Eddie?

I thought it was gonna be scarier! Like, more Haunting of Hill House. But then it became a bit more 80s action horror instead which is fine but just wasn’t what I was looking for is all!
