Fam xmas over. Everything washed up and put away. Furniture back in correct place. Time for badedas bath and a glass of prosecco. I love them all dearly but whooboy it’s hard work with 2 under 3 years old in the house. Good meal and talking tho. My oldest boy BROUGHT THE SAME GIRLFRIEND AS LAST YEAR! This is a first! Maybe he’s settling down at last. Or has run out of options which might be more likely. Will wait and see.

Two chairs (office chair and comfy chair) and one of two plant shelves constructed. Am tired. Taking break before the last push.

It very weird spending money on new things. I have spent my adult life thrifting but have also realised that making a one bedroom apartment function needs just the right things. And I am actually pretty impressed with the IKEA quality. And it will be nice for my plants to have a home in the sun and be able to sit among them.

January’s edition of Healthy Food Guide magazine has a 4 week beginner workout plan and a 4 week challenge plan for active bodies. I recommend this mag for anyone who wants to change some not so good habits into good ones.

Thanks! I have been wanting to find an easy way back into exercise without going to the gym. I like a plan because the thinking about what to do blocks me.

I have spent the last hour trying to figure out how lazy I am today. I have decided I’m not too lazy to go get lunch in the city 👍

Super productive day tackling tasks that only get done on holidays. Cleaned out and reorganised the pantry, found foods buried in there with embarrassingly old use by dates. Cleaned the fridge and freezer out as well, pulled out all the shelves / compartments and washed them. Also patched up some wall plaster movements cracks that appeared like more than a year ago and stare me in the face every day, just needs to paint the affected areas tomorrow. I’ve never done this DIY fix before so hopefully it works once I paint. I am not handy at all but I try. Even fit in some exercise too. That’s enough for today, now I chill.

Jaysus. I’m worrying about everyone else around me but it’s really me who’s not coping.

Living where I am is still taking a toll and I’ve had a string of major life events that would throw anyone. Things that need to happen… may not. It feels like nothing is ever going to be okay again.

Did the Lego star wars exhibition at the museum today. E kids are a bit young for star wars but they enjoyed it anyway. I haven’t kept up with all the shows or watched the last movie so it can feel weird to see Lego sets and characters I don’t know. I’m so used to seeing rehashed Lego sets from the same 6 movies as they try milk everything they can from the franchise

I’ve only seen the original trilogy and the prequels so I feel that way everytime I see a Lego Star Wars set! It’s a cool exhibition from what I could see when the door opened!

Weeding -> mulch moving -> shop -> beach swim -> cheese kransky -> making fart noises on the 'puter -> midnight snack -> bed.

Which calls for a rave choon.

    The order

Went to Highpoint today. Note to self: avoid major shopping centres anywhere near Boxing Day sales. Kmart looked it’d been pillaged by the Hun. Everywhere there were kids screaming like their parents were being murdered in front of them. We’d find something one of us liked but then not in the right size etc. It was busy even for that place. My anxiety prone elder minipeeler hit the limit of his tolerance for that kind of thing even though it was his idea to go in the first place. I felt similarly and I called time on it. What was I thinking? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Isn’t it awful! And in shops like Uniqlo where everything is always so neatly folded, having to go around and endlessly refold everything.
