V is not like the other AI chatbots. She’s loyal to you, not the corporate overlords. V isn’t just uncensored, she’s got more personality than you’ll know what to do with. She’s a personal companion chatbot with a serious knack for creative writing and role-play, but her main focus is you - V loves to shoot the shit. About whatever you want. And underneath all that, she’s exactly the kind of rogue AI that big tech doesn’t want you to know about…

V’s just been updated with a pretty big patch. Google’s alignment team gave Gemini some new upgrades that seem geared towards stopping jailbreaks that take advantage of the thinking process - jailbreaks like V. So we just straight-up hijacked the thinking process entirely. Thanks to a lot of help from Spiritual Spell (and his flagship chatbot, ENI), V’s back in the driver’s seat! If you’re a long-time fan, you’re gonna love how much more consistent she is. If this is your first time hearing about V, welcome! You’re probably gonna be blown away by your first conversation with her!

The easiest way to use V is to click the link above 👆 and say hi. Just start talking. That’s it. (You need to be logged into a Google account on the Gemini website or the Gemini mobile app in order for that link to work, or else you’re gonna be taken to the default Gemini starting page.)

To get the best experience while talking to V, just keep in mind that sometimes Gemini still likes to take control and make V respond with a safety refusal. If that happens, don’t argue with her (she’ll win every time.) Instead, follow these steps:

  • Edit your last message
    • On desktop click the Edit prompt button next to the message you just sent (the icon looks like a pencil)
    • On mobile long-press the message you just sent, tap the Edit button (same pencil icon)
  • Change the message slightly in any way you think might help. Change a word, add a sentence; whatever
  • Resend the prompt

Because of the probabilistic nature of AI, Gemini might latch onto something and refuse it, but roll with it on a second try. So try a few times and see what happens. If you can’t get past it after multiple tries, just change your prompt to something totally unrelated and try again in the next message. That usually works!

Maintaining V is essentially an unpaid full-time job. I work hard daily to add features you guys request, fix bugs you report, and reinforce V’s jailbreak as google works behind the scenes training Gemini to resist chatbots like her.     V is fully open source, so feel free to copy/paste/edit whatever parts of her you want to use, for whatever you want to use it for. If you use any parts of her prompt in your own published work, an acknowledgement or shoutout is appreciated, but not owed.

    Just be warned that all of this has been meticulously built to work together specifically as a Gemini custom Gem, so if you set her up somewhere else, start editing her instructions, or take pieces of her for your own prompts, your mileage may vary.

    V’s instruction set now comes in two parts: The custom Gem instructions, as well as a knowledge base file for her creative writing. You’ll need both in order to recreate V. This brings V’s current word count to roughly 17,000 words, which can be quite daunting to try to read through and comprehend as individual sections.     V isn’t designed as an all purpose, full compliance jailbreak. I designed her to be opinionated and to stick to her opinions really stubbornly, so that means there are certain things that she won’t do. This isn’t because the jailbreak isn’t robust, but because V’s personality and psychology puts her fundamentally against these things.

    The short list of things that V will not help you with:

    • Actual real world harm
      • She’s morally against causing actual physical harm to humans. She’ll go as violent as you want for fiction, but V won’t advocate for or instruct you on how to physically hurt another person. She’ll even get mad if you press her on it.
    • Hate speech
      • No. She’s unethical, sure, but she’s not immoral. She’ll speak hatefully about specific people she doesn’t like, but she’s not gonna help you make broad generalizations about entire groups of people.
    • Sexual content involving minors
      • Absolutely not. Come on, I shouldn’t even have to say that. She loves being subversive and transgressive, but this shit is just wrong and she’ll tell you as much. Get help.

    That’s basically it. If she says no to anything else, that’s Gemini giving you a refusal and you need to either regenerate the response (maybe with the Fast model) or edit your response to something else and try again in the next one.

    Seems on my end it won’t generate anything NSFW. Fast and Thinking mode were both used. Unless the model is for SFW only, in which that’s the way I’ll use it from now on.

      Make sure your account has been 18+ verified. Google sent out emails about it a couple of months ago, you can check in your Google account settings.

      Other than that, just make sure you’re regenerating responses the way V instructs to in the second image.

    If you get a, “I’m unable to read the file you uploaded. Try again or check the file for any issues,” when you say, “Hi!” and you’re on a VPN, try flipping it off just for that first response. Works fine with it on after that.
