Ahh, ABC quoting and legitimizing the “she was attacking us” narrative…
Presumably somewhere there are people who don’t just assume the cops are lying. But the cops are still lying.
It was straight up murder. She was driving away and he continued to fire even as she was passing him, meaning the “danger” (which there wasn’t in the first place) was past him.
I’m boiling with rage. This is terrible… Fuck I want retribution.
I don’t know the best course of action right now, but Stephen Miller and Trump are counting on violent retribution. They want more violence so they can clamp down even harder. Also all over social media Russian and Chinese bots are working overtime to exploit this murder to get more American citizens to commit more violence so it erupts into a little civil war and implodes.
Just, be smart about your actions knowing all of this context. There’s still a whole lot that citizens can do short of violence.
They can’t clamp down on all of us.
They can try, though. It’s gonna get messy.
A lot of people will die. More of us than them. But there’s more of us, and we have more to lose.
Pray tell what citizens can do short of violence?
Every single day is five steps back and, if we’re lucky, one step forward - maybe.
I 100% disagree with peaceful protest and simply voting as a course of action right now. It merely slows the descent, it doesn’t stop or fix it.
Until billionaires and fascists in power fear for their lives or cease to exist, absolutely nothing will change. That is an undeniable fact.
…yeah I guess lol

alright so the fascists are killing us now. i don’t know when “enough is enough” will actually matter to any American but it should goddamn be right the fuck now.
But if you fight back they’ll use it as reason to kill you/s
Americans, “Instructions unclear, do I just keep making signs and peacefully protesting? That’ll incite change, right? Trickle up change. Billionaires will see my sign and start acting in my best interests.”
Did they release this guy’s name yet?
Life feels more like Pre-War Fallout 1 America every day.
I feel like I lost a cousin who made thanksgiving dinners brighter
