A bombshell new report from CBS News suggests that the Iranian Government has murdered between 12,000 and 20,000 protesters since the ongoing, national revolt against it began.

“Information trickling out of Iran on Tuesday suggests that a crackdown by authorities to end more than two weeks of widespread anti-government protests has likely been far more deadly than activists outside the country have reported,”

CBS is currently beholden to the Nazi’s and I don’t know if I trust their reporting. It would be in the US’ best interest to show Iranian instability as well as how violent “real” protesting is to try and dissuade domestic ideas.

That said. If Iran is murdering 10k citizens a week, their government won’t last through the end of the month. One can only hope.

Just weird to say “I don’t trust reporting from a state-influenced source. I’ll wait until I hear reporting from media owned by a different state with an even more vested interest.”

Everything is owned by someone. Al Jazeera leans left, and yes they’re a state run media organization, but they’re more factual than not according to ground news. Perhaps the reason Al Jazeera hasn’t published the death toll is because they can’t verify it and their journalistic integrity prevents them from echoing unverifiable rumors.

Exposing yourself to propaganda, if you understand it’s propaganda, is just another piece of data to anyone seriously trying to understand the situation. Propaganda exposes desire. Knowing that Al Jazeera is Qatari state media, one could want to hear what Qatar wants people to think is happening, and compare that to what western media wants you to think is happening, and compare that to other sources etc etc. Comparing propaganda against trusted and vetted sources exposes lies.

20,000 soldiers were killed on the first day of the Somme in WWI which involved literally mowing down rows of soldiers with machine gun. We would see plenty of evidence if this was happening to civilians in cities even without internet.

I really, really hope the protesters succeed. Iran has such a glorious history and wonderful people - they deserve so much more. It could retake its place as the shining example of countries in the region, as it was for most of the last 5000 years.

Do you know that saudi arabia beheads more protestors per capita than Iran? Do you know how many countries in the middleast that don’t even allow any protest or assembly or voting or any political participation? do you know there’s a country in a middleeast that is an actual genocidal settler colonial superamacist aparthied?

Iranian people main suffering happens because of Western sanction because they oppose israel. If the US really gave a fuck about human rights, they should free Palestinians from their genocidal government that slaughtered 100000 of them this year alone. But no, they are aiding israel, and supporting every oppressive murderous absolute dictatorship government in the middleeast that support israel.

Did you know that obesity kills more people than cancer? That’s why we need to stop caring about cancer completely. Someone you know has cancer? Fuck them, because did I mention obesity is worse? We should only think about one thing at a time, and I get to decide what that thing is. Absolutely NOTHING should be done about cancer until not a single human being is obese.

both are bad but the reason they never fight cancer and in fact they’re funding, protecting and spreading cancer to other countries is because there a powerful lobby that bribes US government politicians to fund and protect cancer at any cost, and fight anyone who wants to stop cancer from spreading to other countries.

Not only this, the people you’re talking about were protesting the sickness they got because of the sanctions thay the cancer spreading lobby made againt them, and even sent their spy agents to spread cancer there by shooting and killing and burning people and ambulances and buildings, and then made lies in the media to misguide the real dignosis and call to just bomb and kill everyone there and put in charge a cancer-loving monarch that works with them and would then exploit their resources to them and allow them to spread cancer to the rest of the world.

    CBS News

    12,000 and 20,000 protesters

Dawg Pakistan wasn’t even able to arrest that many people in the past 2 years worth of protests against an army with actual firepower that has been working overtime to get people killed.

It even took Gaza a solid month to reach those numbers under constant bombing campaigns and a wall of IFVs.

Iran’s internet has only been complete blackout for 4 days, so unless they decided to unload several war days worth of ammunition in a purge killing spree, this isn’t possible. AP is reporting 2.7k.

Bombshell report is right. This report was literally made to precede bombs.

Western media always gets played by the cia, state department, israel, et al.

There might be protests, they are associated with the west, on issues the west exacerbated the problems of for this purpose, helped in Iran, but also agent provokateurs to stir up violence.

Protesters are pawns, media is a bishop perhaps, in fomenting another iran war. If we can use a chess analogy when one player lacks major pieces.

If you think the us and israel are going to make anything better, it explains how we got into our own political position.

I’m convinced that many of the people calling for violence from the left in response to the administration’s behavior are the same ones that pushed the right into extremism over the past 30 years.

Division and chaos are the intent and they’re playing both sides to achieve their goals. The last thing they want is for people to sit down and talk to each other.

No one on the left has anything to do with the violence that’s a core tenant of fascism and capitalism or corpratism if you want to get real specific. No one is egging the proud boys on, anymore than black folks existing was the cause of KKK bombings and terrorist attacks. These people aren’t responding to anything, this has always been their goal.

Do you believe you have good reasons for thinking so?

I would be interested in seeing you lay out what convinced you. It seems to me that the only thing these calls for violence have in common is just that: they are calls to violence. How can you possibly draw any parallels beyond that without completely minimizing how unprecedented a situation it is we find ourselves in?

Because we do the same thing when we’re trying to mess with other countries. Create division and infighting by playing both sides. Create fear so people won’t act. Goad the extremists into violence. If the people are susceptible to being manipulated, they’ll do all the work for you. You won’t even hardly need boots on the ground.

Putin’s still mad about the collapse of the Soviet union. He would love to see that happen to the US.

It was a humorous remark. I understand your situation. Otherwise I wouldn’t have referenced the intended meaning.

              • Idk what you find humorous… did I mistranslate or something?

                I’m pretty confident I got it right…

Oh, so, the original phrase I had in my mind was something like “在大陆的同胞” (compatriots in mainland China) / “在国内的同胞” (compatriots in the country [refering to China]) but then my English in my mind automatically thought of “Home Country” when I think of China so that’s the translation my mind came up with…

idk my brain is weird… now you’re making me question my confidence in the English language… I thought like I had this after being in an Anglosphere country for so long…
