I can’t wait to see what kind of beautiful Schmetterling he becomes!
Hopefully we can avoid the “7 nuclear missiles” -part…
I don’t really like De Wevers policies, he is too much economical right for me.
But damn it if I don’t respect him as a politician.
He refused to work together with the fascist party called Vlaams Belang, even if his party was second in place to be the most right wing party in the country. Would even rather work together with socialists than the extreme right. Even LGBTQ+ rights are non-negotiable to him.
Yeah, i’m generally not a fan of him, but i agree.
The interests he’s defending internationally are the same he’s defending nationally (an regionally) - so I wouldn’t cheer too much.
All those expensive new planes rendered ineffective with one snarky comment.
As a main holder of US bonds Belgium can also make the dollar worthless… it’s a lose-lose game of course, but we won’t go down alone.
“My feeling is that the sweet-talking is over. You reach the point where sweet-talking and sweet-talking is counterproductive,” De Wever said. “It only encourages them to go a step further – it’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar.”
Cute. No politician has actually said Hitler -Chamberlain.
