I’m kind of surprised that it was just a fairly quiet policy change. They could have made a big announcement about it and gotten plenty of praise from comic book fans.
Probably would’ve pissed off a sponsor or two.
I’m happy they did! It took me a few months to realize a piece of art I paid for money for last year is AI art. I haven’t taken it down yet because I’m not done looking at it and being pissed at myself.
But I shouldn’t have been put in that place to begin with.
To top it all of, the fucking “artist” signed my print when I bought it…
It wasn’t too terribly quiet imo, although it could’ve been a lot bigger. I saw the official post on Instagram from the SDCC account and the comments were all positive. And I’ve seen a couple reposts/reports from other sources about it, and the comments are all still pretty positive.
