A new global life-cycle analysis finds that if not properly disposed of, biodegradable plastics could increase methane emissions and plastic accumulation.

If they degrade by bacterial digestion of course it has to increase methane.
What is so damn hard about paper bags? Sure, they cost 5 cents instead of 3 or whatever. But seriously.
