    this should show that car based societies are kinda f***… cannot think of a solution beyond just more cars. And who profits? Car companies, still. It’s an inefficient and anti-social mode of transportation… takes up so much space (roads, parking, highways), energy (fuel, charging), and money (road repairs, endless expansion to pay for it, car insurance, car repairs). It causes harm to thousands of people a year and kills many, results in sedentary lifestyles, and results in spread out towns and local economies. Plus zoning laws are currently fucked.

    It’s because one requires massive tax investment and difficult to measure ROI and the other is easily measured by company performance and registration statistics.
