Based on the #3b1b lecture on higher dimensional spheres, I wonder if the fact that almost all volume being at the boundary and the equator is the reason why space-time is thought to be like a torus, string theory visuals portray wiggling circles?

@askphysics also this is why we need regularisation for #MachineLearning models, isn’t it? The weights are the coordinates in a hyper space, the model resides in. Without regularization, we risk the weights along only one or two coordinates being dominant and the other coordinates don’t get any “volume”.
