My current phone just has to make it until Motorola releases grapheneOS compatible phones… Just a year away…
As a former Motorola owner (shit got stolen T_T), I would love Lenovo to make Motorola as the Thinkpad of phones. I wanna see them fully working while barely assembled.
A real shame it’s not Nokia
Jolla starts delivering new phones in H1 2026
I see everything above Pixel 6 has just over a year of support left. Close call if you’re using 6a.
No I’m stuck on a galaxy s21 ultra lol. I need to switch to graphene but didn’t want to give Google any additional money.
There are other de-googled Android versions. /e/, iode, LineageOS. If you don’t need the additional hardening of Graphene (and since you’re not using it now I’m guessing you don’t need it) your not limited to Pixels or the upcoming Motorola.
Appropriate franchise considering it’s where Google got the “Nexus” name.
to what extent will going over to Graphene OS save me from this? or do we need some version of Linux for phones?
Graphene only works on google pixel phones and google hates custom roms, so i have a feeling graphene on pixel wont be around much longer at least on new pixels. So hopefully the partnership between graphene and motorola will come to fruition soon.
Graphene is not affected by this…directly. It still will have a massive chilling effect on open source app development and release I think.
Unrelated, but what is this scene from?
