          So you bought when it was cheap, like consoles at the time. Point remains that unless you bought hardware in the past, gaming is becoming a rich people hobby.

            no, the point remains that I stopped buying consoles at a time when they started monthly subscriptions costs that will ALWAYS outweight the costs of a PC in the long run.

            I refuse to support or acknowledge any benefit when there’s subscription costs. sure, upfront it’s cheaper. long run, you own nothing and will continue to pay ever increasing costs as a result.

              PC being cheaper is arguable given that PC doesn’t have second hand market and that Valve isn’t subsidising hardware like Sony despite taking same cut from every sale on the platform.

              Unless you mean cheap by the means of piracy but look how that turned out for PSP, for example. Publishers eventually abandon platforms without working DRM.
