Those potato, um, discs(?) are a great idea that I have never thought of for some reason.
Thanks. I par cooked russet potatoes in the microwave for 3 minutes than after they cooked I sliced them about 1/4 thick, before pan frying. Made for some nice crispy but not burnt home fries.
