Hello and welcome to the fifth Principia building contest. Once again, we will be re-running [an old contest with the same name](/archive/contest/33), and the theme will be Rube Goldberg machines! You are likely already familiar with the concept of a Rube Goldberg machine - a contraption, invention, device or [apparatus](https://apparatus.voxelmanip.se) that is deliberately over-engineered or overdone to perform a very simple task in a very complicated fashion, usually including a chain reaction. The level should be satisfying and easy to watch, and ideally require no interaction from the player with camera movement being automatically handled by a [Cam Targeter](/wiki/Cam_Targeter) or similar. However, creative interpretations of the theme that involve some interaction from the player are also welcome! ## Rules - Only one level per player participating in the contest! - Old levels created before the contest are not eligible for entry. - Theft of entire levels is not allowed. Inspiration is allowed, plagiarism is not. ## Scoring Once the contest is over, a winner and a runner-up will be decided by the contest judge (ROllerozxa). Both will get their levels featured on the front page as well as awarded a stylish trophy badge on their user page. Depending on the amount of entries, there may be some other level entries that will be highlighted, for things that are interesting but didn't make it to the top.
