I think the strawman argument is that they go to the ER, which typically cannot deny care due to lack of insurance. That in turn makes it “free” for them.
The gotcha here is that all they will do is make sure you’re not actively dying. If you’re well enough to make survive till the next weekday you’re getting a referral and told to GTFO of the ER.
