Most of what I see when searching in prism are either pixelmon or AI crap

Most of the modpacks that I play with my friends I make myself. That way I get whatever mods I (or my friends) want, except for maybe some that aren’t available for the version I make the modpack for or that don’t play well together. It does take a bit of time though and most of the time I don’t bother making quests

Usually I just go on curseforge website and look there. Most modrith ones don’t really suit me as I love massive mod packs with quests to guide me. I need a edn goal and progression in mine.

But usually I just go on curseforge and just filter by quests and the most recent and relevant version (currently 1.2* versions) and just scroll and scroll tell I find something interesting and download it on prism and go.im creative and see what’s it is about and then repeat tell I find something

Just google plus what im looking for in the mod pack. Though for now I’ve settled on vanilla ++ mods. Better Minecraft by Luna pixel has been pretty enjoyable so far. Even if it does seem to be somewhat balanced for co-op.

Now here’s a question I wish I knew an answer to. But I fear there is no good answer because discoverability of modpacks has been declining in the past few years, along with the discoverability of anything else.

I used to subscribe to the Feed The Beast subreddit and see what other people were playing, but not since I moved off of reddit. I subscribed to this community hoping it could fill that same role, but it’s not that active.

So the things I’m left with is just to watch out for what well-known modders keep making, like FTB, ATM, Enigmatica or Violet Moon. Or to watch what modded Minecraft Youtubers are playing (like Direwolf20, ChosenArchitect or SystemCollapse).

Try searching for packs for 1.7.10 and 1.12.2, they’re older versions but they have A LOT of modpacks, even some that are still developed
