Our work on Afghanistan has focused on advancing a victims rights approach to seeking truth, justice and accountability for Australian special forces war crimes in Afghanistan.

On this day I think it’s important to remember the innocent victims of Australia’s military. For every unjust war we have followed Britain or the US into, we have left death and destruction behind for the people we invaded.

Sadly there is no single source for all the victims of Australia, but at least we can take some time to learn about some of the most heinous war crimes we have done to Afghans.
