Is that accounting for inflation? Because in 1987 you only (“only”) needed about $340m to be a billionaire in today’s dollars.

Financial obesity is an existential threat to any society that tolerates it, and needs to cease being celebrated, rewarded, and positioned as an aspirational goal.
Corporations are the only ‘persons’ which should be subjected to capital punishment, but billionaires should be euthanised through taxation.
Well, there was a time in history when nearly everyone in Zimbabwe were billionaires… in Zimbabwe dollars… which apocalyptically inflated in value…

Yes if the system stays the same then eventually, after enough inflation, we would all be billionaires (well, our descendants). In the same way everyone in Zimbabwe was a billionaire.
A lot of people want to ger rid of billionaires, but very few people actually want to get rid of the system that creates billionaires
because they dont want admit they also benefit from cheap labor from others.
