Imagine reading this story and thinking the cops are the good guys.
Goddamn conservatives need to be removed from society.
This woman did nothing wrong.
Also this reveals cops have a pokemon style weakness to bugs because they can’t shoot them. Honestly we should be weaponizing bug swarms more. Maybe collect some bullet ants in a container that would break if people busted down your door.
I disagree that she did nothing wrong. If one of those cops was allergic, she could have killed them. They did claim one was and she responded “good”. Just like we say that cops are wrong for escalating and causing the death of people for minor offenses, the same is wrong here. And this was premeditated. The crime the cops were potentially(I don’t know the back story) committing does not fit the punishment. Plus she could have gotten herself killed. The fact that they didn’t shoot her implies these may even have been some of the few cops that show some restraint. If it had been ICE they would have opened fire immediately. So at the very least, potential getting killed would make what she did wrong.
The real crime lies with the judge who signed off on the eviction. The cops likely had no idea of the background of the person they were evicting when they showed up.
There are surely better ways to attempt to obstruct an eviction.
“Won’t somebody think of the poor cops abusing civilians for their epstein class overlords”
If one of those cops was allergic, she could have killed them.
I have more sympathy for the bee that dies because to sting is fatal. The loss of a pollinator is a loss for the world, the loss of a cop is… meh, some other asshole will sign up for the badge.
I’m not going to poopoo on people for attempting to do the right thing in the moment. Obviously nobody died. Obviously the entire chain of events on the legal side from the landlord to the lawyers to the judges to the law enforcement doing the dirty work all stinks.
I don’t think there’s any point to sending this woman to jail, she obviously did what she could to disrupt the banality of evil going on. If the cop had died she would have seen bigger charges but imo this kind of pushback is necessary so that law enforcement IS afraid to do evil things.
Meh. Lot of handwringing for the cops, but where’s the handwringing for the cancer patient? Who’s to say the patient wasn’t immunocompromised, and that going outdoors could be a death sentence?
If you think cops aren’t absolutely giddy at the thought of using violence against anyone and everyone, then I have a bridge to sell you.
Enforcing eviction noticed isn’t a “minor offense”.
Landlords deserve the woodchipper.

From Mouse Guard, by David Petersen. I just read this one last night.
Mwahahahahahahaha that was a great idea. Bees are a pretty good equalizer.
OH YES THE BEES! OH YES!

!! THE PAIN!!!
She got 6 months but will only do 2 more weeks because she was held without bail.
America is the toilet of jurisprudence.
Idk why she’s being sentenced to anything. It is not illegal to release bees. What the bees do after release is not the responsibility of the keeper. Nature is self balancing. Obviously the cops were upsetting the natural order and should issue a public apology and avoid evicting elderly people. Or at least wear bee keeping gear while they do it.
Or just go jump in a fire for considering it to begin with.

IRL superhero.
The real life Yellowjacket
(Yellowjacket is a public domain superhero from the 40s who could control bees. That’s it. He had a sweet costume though)
shes like that QUEEN BEE" character in supergirl series.
bees
Based
DR BEES
What’s that? A deputy is coming to evict an old cancer patient? A large influx of bees ought to put a stop to that!
This is what a real patriot looks like.
