Just in case: you can join the French communities you were suggested in another thread of yours without needing a French instance/Piefed, wherever they are hosted. I’m French, and I just use piefed.social ;)
Any communities founded by you will then be located at piefed.social. You might prefer your francophone community being on a francophone instance.
