I remember on the red site, there were two communities that basically had one another’s names. It was funny because one was NSFW (in name only) and the other wasn’t (except for its name) or something like that. It may have started as an April Fool’s joke, but it went on well beyond that.
I think you mean r/trees, which was about marijuana, its production and consumption. The other one was then cheekily called something like r/marijuana or so and was all about identifying trees.
Might could also be r/animetiddies (or something similar) That was actually about world news.
